Background
MEEMSV-2002 continues tradition established by first two workshops held in Positano, Italy (1995) and Chania,
Greece (1999). It is aimed at promotion and encouragement of scientific and technological research and development in application of magnetic, electric and electromagnetic methods in seismology and volcanology.
Workshop themes
1.Methodological achievements in MT, DC, IP, TDEM and other EM methods in relation to study seismic and volcanic
activity.
2.Numerical and analogue modeling of EM fields in tectonic areas.
3.EM imaging and monitoring volcanoes and active faults.
4.Physics of seismo-electrical and seismo-magnetic phenomena.
5.EM coupling between the ionosphere and lithosphere.
6.Study of volcanic environments by electric, magnetic and EM methods.
7.Laboratory and indirect studies of the electrical conductivity of the rocks under tension.
8.Data processing and instrumentation.
